Marguerite Brunswig Staude, heiress to the Brunswig Chemical Company, was a sculptress whose finest sculpture was the architecture of the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona, Arizona. She ran away to Paris and befriended artist Pablo Picasso, whose sturdy hands she found intriguing, so she sculpted his hand for posterity.
